The summer sizzle is on and Independence Day is just weeks away. The next few months are full of fireworks, festivals and family fun in Huntsville and the Walker County area.

The annual 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION is Thursday, July 4, 2019 Kate Barr Ross Park. This family friendly event is sponsored by the City of Huntsville – Recreation Services. Kids of all ages can enjoy bounces houses, a climbing wall and games. Hungry? Summer favorites will be available for purchase from various food vendors. Fireworks begin at dark or approximately 9:15 P.M. Admission and parking is free. Coolers and lawn chairs are allowed per City of Huntsville Parks & Facilities Department, but no glass bottles or alcohol. For more information click: City of Huntsville Recreation Services.
New Waverly, TX
Want an old-fashioned celebration? Head to New Waverly for a small town experience straight from a Norman Rockwell painting. The local 4th of July festival is a fundraiser to benefit the local fire department and 4-H club. Events start at 11:00 A.M. with a bar-be-que lunch and live auction.
